I am running for Town Board to make Waterford’s local government more open, accountable, and responsive to the needs of our community. For three decades, the entirety of town government has been in the hands of one group, within one party – with virtually no opposition.
A lack of healthy competition leads to complacency. Town leaders, with no one to be accountable to, become too comfortable with the status quo. My first role, as a new member of the town board is to inject new energy and ideas into the political dialogue, and be a contributor to positive change for our community.
Waterford is a wonderful place to live and raise a family, but we have so much more potential to realize. I envision a town with a thriving commercial sector, clean and attractive parks and open spaces, modern infrastructure, smart management of vital town services, and most importantly, safe neighborhoods patrolled by a well-trained police department.
As a small business owner myself, I will bring creative energy and entrepreneurial thinking to the task of revitalizing our town. There’s a great deal of hard work to be done, but I’m ever optimistic that we can get this job done – together.
